Hello, and thank you for visiting my blog! I am the mother of one adorable “merchild” (my six-year-old child, E, she/her unless and until she tells me otherwise).

I was a single mother and co-parent for most of E’s life until I recently remarried. Since starting this journey, I have relied on the stories of others’ experiences for strength as I charted a new course through family life. I have found that while there is no shortage of parenting blogs, there aren’t that many telling tales from the trenches of solo parenthood and the singular triumphs and struggles that come with it. I hope this blog will be a similar source of inspiration and humor for other single parents and blended families!
